Welcoming Koii to Monday Capital family.
At Monday, we are proud of our technical background and our ability to geek out with super technical founders and help them bring their product to the world. When we met the Koii team, we definitely felt at home and that this team was after something epic.
To put it simply, Koii is more than just a distributed computing network—it's a platform that allows people to build powerful applications using tools that are familiar to the developer world, such as JavaScript. This opens the door for all 17.5 million JavaScript developers to tap into the infinite compute power and technical innovations of the blockchain to build even better products.
However, the utility of Koii extends beyond just the blockchain realm—it also addresses traditional Web2 needs. Tasks such as data scraping or web crawling, which could take weeks and extensive infrastructure setup in the traditional Web2 model, can be accomplished in mere seconds on Koii. Developers simply need to write their tasks in JavaScript, deploy them on the Koii Network, and pay their fees. Koii ensures the task completion, eliminating the need for setting up servers and storage or deploying code.
As we look into the future of computation and data processing, Koii stands as a potential powerhouse for GPU-intensive tasks such as AI training. AI models, particularly deep learning ones, require a significant amount of computational power for training—power that GPUs are exceptionally good at providing. By leveraging the distributed nature of the Koii network, developers could harness the combined GPU resources of the network for efficient AI training.
But Koii's potential goes beyond just providing computational resources for AI training. It could also democratize the AI development process. In traditional setups, training large AI models often requires resources that are beyond the reach of individual developers or small teams. Koii could change this by enabling developers to utilize the network's distributed resources for their AI training needs. This could pave the way for a more collaborative and decentralized AI development environment, where models and their training can be shared and improved by the broader community.
Lastly, the synergy between blockchain and AI could be fully realized on the Koii network. Blockchain's transparency, immutability, and security features ensure the integrity and reliability of the AI models trained on the network. Meanwhile, AI could be used to optimize various aspects of the blockchain network, from transaction validation to network optimization and data analysis.
We are very happy that we got to meet with the Koii team early on and are super excited to be backing them in their mission to make Web3 unstoppable and available to all.
